This was one of those "owned by a little old man" deals that you hear about from time to time. I was itching to buy a '69 Charger, mostly because a friend of mine had one and I didn't. I had just bought my (now green) '71 Charger R/T the month before looking at this one. When I went to look at this car, there were 2 kids (fresh out of high school) also looking at it. I told them that if they were interested, I'd leave and not bid against them. One of them turned to me and said <surfer voice> "Naw doode, this it too much work fer us!" </surfer voice> and they walked away.
The old man who owned the car wanted to list it for $1,000. His son (who was in his later 30's/early 40's) convinced his father that $300 would be a more reasonable price. I offered $175 because that was all I had in my bank account. The next day the car was mine. J Here is what I got for my money:
